Pupils come from, approximately, twenty partner primary schools; spread over 60 square miles covering both rural and urban areas. Most pupils arrive by bus each day. Emrys has benefited from a 2 million pound Welsh Assembly School building improvement grant, enabling a new humanities building (Slators block) to be built. The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to all pupils; reading café and chess along with impact music lessons and sporting activities.

We currently have several International projects including our WORLD Initiative and the North Wales Schools Games. We host up to 15 school visists per year with over 150 students visiting for our North Wales School's Games in 2012.

The comenius project 'Europe beyond borders' is a fantastic opportunity for our students to see and learn about the differences and similarities in other cultures and make long lasting friendships with pupils from schools across Europe.

In November we will be bringing 4 very excited students who are going be our pupil leaders on the International school Council at Emrys ap Iwan.

See you all soon!
