Curdy ice cream with hot raspberries

Dish history

Curdy ice cream are making in the Czech Republic from year 1962. In year 2009 Míša be in the stile ten best ice cream in the Czech Republic. His he started  made in factory Laktos in Prage. Míša and Eskymo are oldest Czech ice lolly. We serve it in the home presentation with hot raspberries.  

Ingredients

for curdy ice cream: Curd 250 g Vanilla sugar 3 ks Honey 1 spoon Juice from one Lemon Czech „Rum„ - Tuzemák – one small spoon Cream 33% fat Other ingredients: sugar raspberries chocolate topic mint leafs

Recipe

Mix with hand mixer all ingredients for ice cream and than place it to the fridger.

Add sugar in a sauce pan after while ad crushed raspberries and ad water. Bring to a boil, turn down the heat and simmer for a while.

Place two scoops of ice cream in a bowl and spoon the hot sauce over it. Garnish with a whole raspberries, chocolate topic and mint leaf. Serve while still hot. 

Own opinion

This meal is best with wilde raspberries from forest. It"s not side dish it is desert.

Sour Cream Paprica Chicken

Dish history

These food is the typical and popular home Czech dish. In the Czech Republic are generally popular sauces using cream. We serve it with pasta – rigatoni. We know that pasta is not Czech meal but we use it often as a side dish. Chicken with paprika is a delicious and most of Czech kids like it. We hope you will like it too.

Ingredients

2 servings: 1/2 chicken, 1 onion, 1 cup sour cream, flour, 2 tablespoons oil, sweet paprika, salt

Recipe

First slice onion. Than fry it in oil in a saucepan. Add chicken and fry chicken each side.

Than add the paprika. After while pour water. Put in the oven and bake covered until chicken is nearly cooked. Then bake uncovered for a while so the chicken can get a crust. Remove the meat and mix the sauce with hand mixer. Thicken with sour cream or cream with flour. season the sauce with a salt Serve with pasta or rice.

Potato salad in a ham rolls

Dish history

How did the potato salad originate? We do not know exactly. In books of famous cooks Magdalena Rettigová and Marie Sandterová from 19th century we cannot find salad in its current form. It is known since 1924. We use it also as a side dish. On Christmas we serve it with a breaded fried fish - carp.

Ingredients

1)Four carrots 2)Five pieces of pickled cucumber 3)Half of celery Five kilograms of potatoes 4)White yogurt 5)Two onions 6)Mayonnaise

Recipe

Boil potatoes, peel them and cut into little cubes. Boil vegetables and also cut into little cubes. Add onions and the vegetables into the potatoes. Then we will add mayonnaise and mix all together. Season with mustard, salt or ground pepper. Then mix well again.

Finally wrap up the salad with ham.
